La Liga Soccer Betting Predictions & Preview (matchday 35)
Because FC Barcelona jumped the high away hurdle at Villarreal with a 4-1 win on Sunday evening, there was no preliminary decision in the title race of the Primera Division. However, the tendency is quite clear given that the Catalans are four points behind Real Madrid, who also won the direct comparison that was decisive in Spain in the event of a tie. If Real does not allow itself several more mistakes on the last four match days, which speaks little for after seven wins in a row, the title should go back to Madrid for the first time since 2017.
But one can still hope in Barcelona. In any case, we are now taking a closer look at the games of the two title contenders as well as the third-placed Atletico Madrid and also grappling with the relegation battle.
Celta Vigo vs Atletico Madrid Soccer Betting Prediction
Date: Tuesday, 07.07.2020
Since the re-start, both teams have positioned themselves to be able to reach the respective season goal early and under their own steam. Celta Vigo has scored nine points from seven games since resuming play. The lead to the first relegation zone is six points, so that the class can even be held without additional counters. The 1-1 draw against Betis Sevilla on Saturday, when a long lead was only lost in the final phase, may have missed the decisive step. Another victory would almost certainly be enough to start another year in La Liga, although the demands should be higher with regard to the squad.
Atletico Madrid, who has been a regular in the Champions League for years, meanwhile, as the sixth in the table during the Corona break, had to seriously worry about reaching the premier class again. But since the restart, the Colchoneros have recorded 17 out of 21 possible points, which puts them back in the well-known third place behind Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The team of coach Diego Simeone, who celebrated a loose 3-0 home win against RCD Mallorca after the 2-2 week in Barcelona on Friday, seems to be in top form in good time for the hot phase, which is also not unimportant, because the quarter-finals of the Champions League will continue in August.
FC Barcelona recently found out that it is not easy to score three times in Vigo in the 2-2 win. However, we believe that Atletico will start with a very broad chest after the recent successes and with the well-known cleverness will take the points to Madrid.
Betting Prediction: Atletico Madrid wins
FC Barcelona vs Espanyol Barcelona Soccer Betting Prediction
Date: Wednesday, July 8th, 2020
FC Barcelona had a two-point advantage over Real Madrid during the Corona break, but in the seven games since resumption of play, the Catalans have not won four at Sevilla FC (0-0), Celta Vigo (2-2) and against Atletico Madrid (2-2) after a tie. Now the gap to Real is four points, but the appearance in Villarreal on Sunday evening, undoubtedly the best since the restart, gives at least some hope for a successful catch-up.
The 4-1 win reminded Barca of more glamorous days and could have been even higher after much speculation about differences between coach Quique Setien and parts of the team including Lionel Messi had been in the days before.
In the city duel against Espanyol, only one victory counts for FC Barcelona, which could advance the little neighbor to the second division. With eleven points behind the saving bank and only twelve points left to be awarded, Espanyol’s hopes for relegation are already only theoretical. With four points from two games, the re-start raised faith in a catch-up race, but has been lost five times in a row since then.
Anything but the sixth bankruptcy in a row would be a big surprise at Camp Nou. If Barca appears anywhere near as in Villarreal, the game becomes a one-sided affair.
Betting Prediction: win FC Barcelona
Real Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves Soccer Betting Prediction
Date: Friday, 07/10/2020
While FC Barcelona have allowed themselves a few slip-ups since the restart, Real Madrid has not yet been naked. The seven wins in a row against SD Eibar (3: 1), against FC Valencia (3: 0), at Real Sociedad San Sebastian (2: 1), against RCD Mallorca (2: 0), at Espanyol were brilliant Barcelona (1-0), against FC Getafe (1-0) and most recently on Sunday at Athletic Bilbao (1-0), but mostly the team of coach Zinedine Zidane always went out as the winner. Tight games like Sunday in Bilbao, a traditionally difficult place to narrowly win with a penalty from Sergio Ramos, are undoubtedly a sign of quality.
Against Deportivo Alaves, Real is back at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano on the training grounds, where due to the renovation at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, there are currently no spectators playing as a clear favorite again. On the one hand because of their own top constitution, on the other hand because of the clearly negative tendency of Alaves. At Celta Vigo (0: 6), against CA Osasuna (0: 1), Atletico Madrid (1: 2), against FC Granada (0: 2) and at Real Valladolid (0: 1), Alaves lost five times Follow and scored only one goal in 450 minutes. Because the relegation is not yet fixed at six points ahead of the first relegation zone and the rest of the program is tough, the club management pulled the ripcord after the bankruptcy in Valladolid and separated from coach Asier Garitano to give another impulse. It remains to be seen whether the hoped-for effect will set in in Madrid.
We don’t really believe it, but expect Real Madrid to take another step towards the championship with the next win.
Prediction Today: Real Madrid wins
