Anyone who gave a mini-chance in the struggle for the French championship club Olympique Marseille had to see last weekend how this hope was finally extinguished.

PSG vs Dijon Soccer Betting Prediction

With twelve laps to go, Paris Saint Germain has a comfortable 13-point lead over “l’OM”. The third championship title in series seems to be only a matter of form. This weekend PSG welcomes a relegation candidate with Dijon on Saturday.

But will the game actually be as one-sided as the betting odds suggest? The latest PSG appearances were anything but convincing. Dijon is a blatant outsider, but he can count on a mini chance.

PSG – Statistics & current form

There is a lot of rumbling in the Paris Saint-Germain camp. Meanwhile, the signs are growing that Thomas Tuchel will probably no longer be active in the city of love from the coming summer. He will successfully defend the championship, but lately there have been reports of problems with his stars. After the 1: 2 defeat in Dortmund, Neymar publicly criticized that Tuchel and the doctors did not allow him a rhythm of matches.

The mood seems to be slowly changing and in the last home game of Paris against Girondins Bordeaux last weekend, Tuchel was even booed by the fans at the team presentation. Tuchel was not considered an easy character during his time at BVB, but at first it seemed as if he had the stars under control. Whether he still has the necessary reputation among the stars is now more than ever questionable.

The defense acts inferior

Usually, the French industry leader was rarely challenged in the domestic championship. Even if the team often does not appear like a homogeneous unit, the individual quality was sufficient to decide the games for themselves even with the handbrake on. In the past few weeks, however, the lightness and dominance have been lost for good.

There have always been many goals to be seen in PSG games, but this is due to the outstanding quality of the game forward. However, a look at the latest results shows that the defense is currently causing major problems for the French top club. PSG have conceded no less than ten goals in their last four league games.

Neymar is missing – Thiago Silva wobbles

Compared to last weekend, PSG will probably have to do without captain Thiago Silva, who has been replaced. Superstar Neymar is definitely not going to be used, who was put off with yellow-red in added time against Bordeaux and will be missing from the star ensemble again. Otherwise, Tuchel can draw from the full.

Probable lineup of PSG:
➲ Navas – Bernat, Kimpembe, sweepers, Kurzawa – Marquinhos, Verratti – Draxler, Di Maria – Icardi, Mbappe

Dijon – Statistics & current form

FCO Dijon is now playing its fourth year in a row in the French football upper house. With the exception of the 2017/18 season, the relegation battle is ubiquitous year after year. Remaining in the league is the big goal against which head coach Stephane Jobard has to be measured.

The 49-year-old has been in office since the start of the season and has collected 27 points in the first 26 Ligue 1 games. Compared to last year, Dijon has seven more points after 26 games.

Three draws in a row

Dijon did not win in the last three games but did not have to cope with a defeat. According to the law of the series, a goalless draw follows the 3: 3 against Nantes, the 2: 2 against Bordeaux and the remarkable 1: 1 draw against AS Monaco on Saturday with the sovereign champions. Given the outstanding PSG offensive, however, such a prediction can be abandoned between PSG and Dijon.

Only seven away goals in 13 games

No goal for the guests would not be a surprise. We’ve raised PSG’s blatant defensive problems in the recent past, but Dijon isn’t even a leisurely breeze abroad.

A look at the results so far in a foreign place only shows a single away win. In 13 games, a mere seven goals were scored. Given these numbers, despite the PSG problems, we have great concerns between PSG and Dijon when predicting goals from both teams.

Probable lineup of Dijon:
➲ Runarsson – Mendyl, Aguerd, Ecuele Manga, Chafik – Ndong, Amalfitano – Choular, Sammaritano, Mavididi – Tavares

PSG vs Dijon Direct Comparison & Statistics Highlights

On the twelfth matchday, the relegation candidate won 2: 1 in front of their home crowd, completely surprisingly. Kylian Mbappe brought the Tuchel eleven into the lead, but a goal shortly before and after half-time caused a sensation.

PSG vs Dijon Soccer Betting Prediction

This game undoubtedly falls into the David vs. Goliath category – and yet the sovereign leader seems to be extremely vulnerable these days. There is currently no sign of harmony in the star ensemble and an image is conveyed to the outside that does not correspond to the team spirit.

The many goals conceded are certainly a consequence of this. However, the individual class is often sufficient to still get the points. There will probably be something similar on Saturday, but we don’t see Value between PSG and Dijon when we tip on the three-way market.
